• Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioners Workshop Series
  Possibilities For Behavioral Health, a Piurek & Associates division, in conjunction with Triple R Behavioral Health, Inc. and the Arizona Rehabilitation Services Administration are pleased to offer the first Possibilities for Practitioners Workshop series in the Boston University Psychiatric Rehabilitation Approach (BUPRA).
  
  The training workshops are designed for rehabilitation practitioners, case managers, peer support specialists, therapists, clinical supervisors, any behavioral health professional who wants to improve their goal setting, skill assessment, planning, skill development and interpersonal relating skills.  Regardless of discipline or job function, these are the skills that help to facilitate a person’s recovery journey. Below you will find the 2008 Workshop Series schedule.

• July 14-18, 2008, Piurek & Associates will participate in Arizona State University’s, Center for Applied Behavioral Health Policy, 9th Annual Summer Institute to be held at Hilton Sedona Resort, Sedona Arizona. System Transformation in an Era of Recovery-Oriented Services will feature Gabriella Guerra and Elaine Groppenbacher in the concurrent session, “Securing Their Future: Treating Young Adults Aged 18-24 with Substance Abuse Disorders,” on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, from 10:15 – 11:45 a.m. This workshop is designed for behavioral health practitioners and leaders to inform them about characteristics particular to 18-24 year olds and relevant family dynamic issues. Gabriella and Elaine will also focus on applicable staff development needs and useful techniques for programs.
• July 18, 2008, from 8:30-10:00 a.m, Bill Kennard, also of Piurek & Associates, will present a Summer Institute workshop with Vicki Staples in, “Becoming a Recovery Facilitating Organization: How to Assess, Plan and Implement a Substantive Transformation Process”at Hilton Sedona Resort, Sedona Arizona. With the understanding that behavioral health organizations are just evolving into recovery-focused services, Bill and his colleagues will offer a model that emphasizes human qualities and innovative approaches to bring about recovery.
• Wednesday Mornings, Ongoing, Radio Show
  Zohreh Piurek hosts “Career Straight Talk: The Inside Scoop” on KFNX 'NEWS-TALK RADIO' 1100 AM every Wednesday morning at 9am AZ time.
