For Sue Ann Atkerson, the desire to build effective clinical delivery systems started with a passion for helping people. After several years as a mental health clinician, Sue Ann’s career took a satisfying turn into management and administration, where her leadership, program development, and team training had a broad positive impact at the organizational level. This transition also revealed Sue Ann’s considerable talents for bridging the worlds of funding, administration, and service provision. She currently holds a senior leadership position at a community mental health agency in Arizona, and utilizes her up-to-date knowledge to advise client organizations. Her prior experience includes development and oversight of several co-occurring partial and outpatient programs, as well as direct clinical service to adults.
