Specialties:
- Providing staff training, education, and consultation that draws on over thirty years of experience working with persons with disabilities
and behavioral health concerns.
- Reviewing agency compliance, resolving deficiencies, and developing necessary internal policies and procedures. Alice’s knowledge of the rules affecting social service programs makes her a natural for compliance challenges.
- Working closely with clinical and service staff to create everything from customer literature to comprehensive treatment programs.
From the beginning, when she taught special education and throughout her entire career, Alice Prather has worked with vulnerable populations and improved the programs that serve them. She focuses on effectively assessing and planning for people with specialized needs, as well as helping agencies deliver the best possible customer service. Prior to consulting, Alice served as a program representative in the Arizona Department of Health Services/Division of Behavioral Health Services (ADHS/DBHS) Office for Persons with a Serious Mental Illness, and as a manager in the ADHS/DBHS Office of Grievance and Appeals. These roles gave her the opportunity to participate in writing the most current version of the ADHS Behavioral Health Licensure Rules as well as ADHS/DBHS policies.
